HISTORY
OF THE
INN
The idea of the Locanda dell’Arte was born from the love of a family for their home in Solonghello. The ancient villa of the fifteenth-century, renovated in the Napoleonic era, was receiving them for many years on holidays and weekends.
Next to their house was always another building, in the eighteenth century manor house and later kindergarten run by nuns; since decades the structure is uninhabited, but its charm of a large court house remains.
And so the idea, the desire, the project: turning the historic building next door, full of suggestions for adults and setting of fantastic stories for children, in a beautiful and cozy house.
In the beginning the plan was to allocate the new spaces for private use, but as the restoration progresses the building is configured as an autonomous structure, equipped with every comfort, that can be proudly open to other guests. This is how the Locanda dell’Arte was born from the ancient premises.
